  • Aug 2018, MOC recommends Joy’s Magazine again!

    Out of three thousand books and magazines, the Ministry of Culture of Taiwan has recommended Joy English’s magazine Joy to the World to elementary school and junior high school kids. The magazine has received an impressive commendation from the R.O.C. government two years in a row.

  • Aug 2018, Innovative Approaches to English Teaching Workshop

    In August, Joy English held teaching workshops in Taipei and Kaohsiung. National Taiwan Normal University associate professor Yeu-ting Liu and Joy English’s experienced teacher trainer Grace Bu were the keynote speakers.

  • Jun 2018, Joy’s National Speech Contest

    Joy English held the national speech contest in Taipei. More than sixty students from Joy Schools all around Taiwan made it to the finals, doing a wonderful job making a speech in front of a large audience!

  • Jun 2018, Teacher Training Workshop in Hanoi

    The Hanoi Department of Education and Training and Joy Education Group held a teacher training workshop in Sai Dong Elementary School on June 14th and 15th. Expert trainers from Joy Education Group demonstrated how comprehensive teaching strategies, content, and systems could be incorporated effectively by primary school teachers in Hanoi.

  • May 2018, Drama Club Live Stream

    Joy English Drama Club’s production of The Nutcracker was staged in Taipei, Taoyuan, Taichung, Chiayi, and Kaohsiung in May. The final performance in Taoyuan was live streamed and reached over 41,000 viewers. This is also the first time the performance was live streamed in Mainland China.

  • Mar 2018, Crime Solving on a Picnic Day

    Joy English brought an exciting crime investigation game to a picnic event held in Taichung. By engaging critical thinking and problem-solving skills, children looked for clues, listened for hints, and successfully rescued the kidnapped Joy baby.

  • Dec 2017, Maker Party

    In December 9th and 10th, Joy English presented Christmas Candy Land at a 2-day family affair at the Taipei Expo Park. On-stage storytelling events and a balloon booth made English-learning so much fun.

  • Oct 2017, National Speech Contest

    For the first time since its inception, the annual speech contest went national! Over 60 students got up on stage, toughed it out, and made it an unforgettable day for everyone with some pretty amazing speeches!

  • Oct 2017, Creative Teaching Competition

    To encourage Joy School teachers to keep embracing innovative teaching methods, Joy English held the creative teaching competition. The winners integrated technology with some very creative ideas that other teachers can adopt into their own classrooms.

  • Aug 2017, Drama Club Live Stream

    Joy English Drama Club’s production of Mulan was staged in Taipei, Tainan, Kaohsiung, and Pingtung. The final performance in Taoyuan was live streamed and reached over 38,000 viewers. It was a great ending to an already wonderful performance!

    For the first time since 2008, Joy English held teaching workshops in Taipei, Taichung, and Kaohsiung. World-renowned storyteller Dr. Mike Lockett was keynote speaker.

  • Jun 2017, Joy gets 50% of the market

    Joy English’s textbooks for junior high school students is now being used by 50% of the schools nationally, ranking number one for the past ten years. In Taipei City, our textbooks are used by 80% of the school, ranking number one for the past three years.
